Personal Data Protection Policy

The Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) guarantees the rights of individuals in
Thailand to receive protection regarding the processing of personal data. The Faculty of Law,
Chulalongkorn University, has a duty to provide ne
cessary information and inform you of your
rights when you provide your personal data to the Faculty.

Processing Based on Contractual Basis

When you register to participate in the conference, you are required to provide your personal
data as nec
essary for the Faculty of Law, Chulalongkorn University, to process your
registration and to communicate details and manage matters related to the conference. These
activities are part of the administrative tasks of the Faculty. Therefore, the basis for processing
your personal data by the Faculty is a contractual basis under Section 24(3).

Processing Based on Consent

The Faculty of Law, Chulalongkorn University, does not seek your consent to process data that
is not necessary for your registration to parti
cipate in the conference.

Processing Based on Legitimate Interest

promoting the events of the Faculty of Law, Chulalongkorn University. The still images and

. If you find any images or videos of yourself, you can
request the Faculty of Law, Chulalongkorn University, to cease publishing such content
involving you.

onally, the Faculty of Law, Chulalongkorn University, may conduct research using your
data, either internally or with third parties, to identify organizations or entities that may be
interested in receiving details about future conferences organized by the

Faculty of Law.

the legitimate interest under Section 24(5). In processing based on this basis, the Faculty of
Law, Chulalongkorn University, will consider the following:

The data used for processing consists of publicly available information and does not
include sensitive data.

The risk to personal data protection is minimal.

There is no alternative means of co
mmunication with relevant individuals.

There is an easy option for individuals to opt

out of receiving information or
communication.

Use of Personal Data

Your personal data provided to the Faculty of Law, Chulalongkorn University, for registration
purposes will be used solely to provide and improve services. Certain information, such as

in a way that individuals cannot be identified, for analysis and statistical purposes.

Personal Data Protection Measures

The Faculty of Law, Chulalongkorn University, implements necessary and reasonable
technical and operational meas
ures to protect your personal data. If the Faculty engages data
processors to perform its operations, the Faculty ensures that agreements are in place requiring
such data processors to adopt personal data protection measures. The Faculty will not sell or
d
isclose your personal data under any circumstances and will not transfer your data to any party
other than authorized data processors with agreements in place. Moreover, the Faculty will not
transfer your personal data outside of the country.

Data Retentio
n

In accordance with the principle of retaining personal data only as necessary, the Faculty of
Law, Chulalongkorn University, will retain your personal data only for as long as required to
fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, as defined by law

Data processed based on contractual and legitimate interest will be retained for 5 years.

After the retention period expires, the Faculty will delete or anonymize the personal
data to prevent identification of individuals.
